EAU D’HALONG: le fichier jacquard est tiré d’une photo prise dans la baie d’Halong. La photo fut prise dans l’eau jusqu’à la taille pour avoir une bonne perspective de vague. Elle me rappellera toujours ce voyage magnifique avec ma fille au Vietnam.

VAGUE DES ESCOUMINS: fichier jacquard tiré d’une photo prise lors d’un voyage de plongée aux Escoumins (près de Tadoussac, Québec). Ce fut cette photo qui me fit comprendre à quel point il fallait être près de la surface de l’eau pour avoir l’effet voulu de perspective.

TOILE LOGO: Depuis les années 80 j’utilise ce motif géométrique répétitif. C’est dans le but de tisser ce motif que j’ai entrepris le programme de construction textile du Centre des textiles contemporains de Montréal.

ZYX/PERSPECTIVE: Design des années 80 adapté au tissage jacquard double toile.

PORTRAIT/ZYX: autoportrait des années 80 avec avant plan du motif tissé précédent drapé et re-photographié pour créer le fichier jacquard.

PORTRAIT BRODÉ: même autoportrait photographié et utilisé en fichier broderie.

EAU D’HALONG: the jacquard file was done from a picture taken in Halong bay. Taken in water up to the waist to get a good wave perspective it will always remember me the wonderful trip to Vietnam with my daughter.

VAGUE DES ESCOUMINS: the jacquard file is made from a picture taken on a dive trip to the Escoumins (close to Tadoussac, Quebec). This is the picture that made me realize the importance of the point of view to get the wanted perspective effect in the waves.

TOILE LOGO: Since the 80’s I have used this repetitive geometric pattern. I got involved in the textile construction program at the Centre des textiles contemporains de Montréal to be able to weave this design.

PORTRAIT/ZYX: a self portrait from the 80’s with a foreground of drape Zyx/perspective jacquard fabric was used to create the jacquard file.
